We are excited to organize and facilitate a hiking outing to Tai Mo Shan for the Division of Integrative Systems and Design community.
This event warmly invites all faculty members, staff, current students, and alumni of ISD to join us for a refreshing day outdoors, fostering connections and enjoying Hong Kong’s stunning natural scenery.

9:00 AM at Tsuen Wan West MTR station, Exit D (then take KMB Bus 51 Together)
– Essentials
- Octopus card for taking the bus and MTR
- 2L water minimum
- High-energy snacks / lunch
- Windbreaker / warm layer
- Hiking shoes/trainers with grip
- Rain gear if rains are reported
- Power bank & camera for the views!
– Route
Take bus from Tsuen Wan West Station to the middle of Tai Mo Shan. Following by a easy-moderate route via Tai Mo Shan Visitor Centre → MacLehose Trail Section 8 → Tai Mo Shan Lookout + summit area (views of whole HK + maybe clouds!) → Miu Ko Toi → Fu Yung Shan → Tsuen Wan Station
Distance / Time: ~11 km round trip, 5-6 hours hiking (plus breaks & photos)
Difficulty: Intermediate (some steep steps at start, but very doable; not too technical)
